Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The wind stops as Gale pauses in midair, he was to close to be unaffected by the blast. However, the synthetic demon failed to realized his true objective. He flips Sin and throws it like a spear. It passes through the blast and crashes into the armor. The heated blade soon begins to heat the metal armor as well. Gale let's out a smile before he is set backwards by the blast.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Sin sinks deep into the demon's heavy torso armor and heats the surrounding metal to a molten red-hot state. It roars in surprise, shaking the ground like a round of thunder. With little thought, the giant lizard pulls the sword from its gut and flings it angrily into upper castle wall behind it. The blade sinks into the stone like a dart and stops at the hilt, and slowly cools back to it's original color.
Angered by Gale's wit, the demon grasps an invisible handle in the air with its right hand. A massive, fifteen-foot long transparent sword materializes in the air, the handle in the monster's hand. The blade appears to be made of pure energy and its transparent, reflective form makes it seem like it's made of glass, carved with intricate patterns along the hilt and face. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale sneered at the site of the demon's sword and the loss of his own. His aura flashes and his palms swirl with energy.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The creature roars again, louder now that its armed with a weapon. It lowers it to Gale's height and lunges forward with its massive piston legs. Once Gale is more than in range, it slashes down on him vertically, taking advantage of the seven foot overshot.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale scowls at the lose of Sin and the demon's sword. This fight was starting to seem like it would be more difficult then Gale originally thought. As the sword comes down he dives to the side, barely avoiding the gigantic blade. He makes a remarkably high jumps and moves past the demon, attempting to move towards his sword.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose sits in her room, thinking of what One told her, about what Gale said. Her fists clench in anger. She was not worthless, as they said. She knew she was worth it. Rose felt the power and magic that ran through her veins. Somehow, she'd prove to Gale that she was worth his time, would be a worthwhile servant to his cause. If she could just control her magic!
Rose's thoughts are interrupted by a loud unhuman shriek that shatters her window. Peering outside, she sees the creature and Gale. She watches the battle with interest, an idea coming to mind. Her form melts into the demon child. She glances at her injured wing-it had already healed. With a devilish shriek, she leaps from the window and flies towards Gale and the monster. She lands neatly below Gale. Fate materilizes in her hand. "Gale Onarav! Need a sword?" |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale notices Rose and doesn't make no physical indication of approval. However, he had made it to the spot where Sin had been stabbed into, he leaps upward and pulls the blade out of the wall, landing on the castle wall. "Time to see if you hold any real potential. Don't expect salvation if you fail, I don't have time to babysit you." Gale doesn't look at Rose as he speaks but watches the demon. He didn't think he needed any help with this synthetic demon, strong as it was, but weak pawns were almost as bad as ones with a will. If she managed to keep up and survive, maybe she could prove to be useful in the times to come.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose eyes Gale, surprised at being given the chance. She switches her gaze to the creature.
Wordlessly, Roselenna starts towards it. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
On impact with the ground, the sword kicks up a violent cloud of dirt and rock, with a spray of light glowing from the center. Once the dust clears, it reveals a deep crevice dug into the earth by the blade, Gale in possession of Sin again, and an apparently an ally of his joining the fight. Agitated by all this, the demon lifts its sword back up and swings it through the air threateningly, creating a long, metallic woosh sound. It turns to the oncoming Rose and roars menacingly, and hefts the weapon into a downward angle in front of itself. The strange energy blade pulses and turns into a clear orange color.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose stops, fear turning her stomach quesy. She looks at Gale, unsure of her decision to fight now.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
As Gale had said, the Abbis is paying no attention to Rose, but is instead moving across the wall. There were a few creatures out there that Gale absolutely hated to fight. Synthetic demons were one of them. There never was an easy way to kill them. In fact, Gale never even remembered strong Synthetic Demons dying. They usually just ran or disappeared when Rand was defeated.. Gale pondered this thought for a moment and jumps off the castle wall.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
After another moment of hesitation, Rose decides that if she can't fight the beast, she could at least distract it...right?
Facing the monster, Rose points at it. A nail shoots from her hand, towards the creature's face. Although she doubted it would actually hurt it, poisoned or not, there was the off chance it would keep its attention focused on her. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose's shot ricochets off the demon's armor, dangerously close to it's unprotected nostrils. The hit actually causes it to recoil in surprise, but it doesn't turn away from Rose even slightly. It draws the glowing blade back and swings the edge into the ground, unleashing a wide orange cloud of energy that rolls across the ground like a tidal wave towards Rose. Grass, dirt, and rocks are torn up like tissue paper from the surface of the castle grounds and churn into the wave in a mass of rising debris. The edge of the attack runs into the castle wall, but only strips the surface of the stone and continues down and past the length of the fortress, cutting off any exit to the left.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Oh, ****." Rose attempts to take to the air, but it is too little too late. The attack grabs her and sends her back through the air, crashing hard into the ground to be buried by the loose earth. Her screams of agony are cut off abruptly.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Peh... That's a shame." Nyx comments from his side of the castle grounds for the first time since the synthetic demon appeared. He makes some sort of vague gesture to his men and they pull back, weapons shouldered defensively. The already overcast sky darkens noticably.
With little haste, the demon opens its broad, beak-like mouth and draws in a long breath, filling the air with the sound of a freight train. Countless orbs of light form in the air and swirl into the creature's mouth, gathering into a bright ball of light. It closes its jaws and the light continues to spill out between its teeth. "Allow me to give you a preview of your fate, Gale." The giant lizard heaves forward, so its front claws dangle just around the ground, one still holding the energy blade. It cocks its head and shoots its mouth wide open, and the light erupts back out as if held by a floodgate, and for a split second it bleaches out the entire castle and its surroundings. Then it can be seen: A narrow torrent of fog, moving like a river, pouring from the demon's mouth. The river wreathes and reveals itself to be made up of thousands of wormlike apparitions, moving like fish piled atop one another in an overcrowded stream. Some fifteen feet from the giant demon, they begin to split into more of a swarm, barreling down on Rose like bees. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale frowns at the Synthetic Demon's attack and then let's out a mix between a scoff and chuckle. The wind cracks and Gale appears infront of Nyx, he then delivers a sharp kick into his torso. "To defeat a puppet kill the puppeteer."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
As Rose drags her battered body from the rubble, she is set on by the strange appartions. Thinking instinctly, she slashes at them with Fate, her eyes wide with terror.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
As they come closer, they become more distinguishable. Their heads are humanlike, but bony and faceless like skulls, containing only two black dots for eyes. A pair of arms runs along each one's gaseous body, ending in scrawny, clawed hands, and the torso fades into a tadpole's tail. They pour over and past Rose in chaos, like ants disturbed from their hill, unsure what to do but swarm. One's transparent pair of hands cling onto Rose's face, anchoring itself from the torrent of the rest by digging its claws into her eyesockets. Rose feels nothing through all this, as if the creature existed only as light.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
((...o.o Not sure if Rose is here anymore, so I'm going to wait on replying until I can talk to Cloud.))
((rightyo)) A black cloud forms around Rose. Within seconds, she is gone. ((Heh.)) |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale doesn't notice Rose's disappearance and sends a blast of enery at Nyx, running and jumping to avoid counter-attacks.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The form of a young boy appears from the forest and leans against a castle wall, watching. A large shotgun rests loosely in his hand, pointed at the ground. He laughs to himself, waiting to see some carnage.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Quote:
Nyx catches Gale's initial kick in both hands and leaps backwards, then strafes hard to his right to avoid the blast. His eyes are a little widened; Gale had caught him off guard... Somewhat. He scowls at this thought and lunges forward and fires a hard left punch at Gale's face. The giant demon, meanwhile, ceases it's bizarre attack, closing it's jaws and cutting off the ghostly river of demons. It had seen one of the beings grab onto its victim, and Rose would not be escaping her fate, wherever it was she got to. Even now it was probably beginning to seep into her conciousness. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale's eyes widen as he's hit and he scowls as well. He attempts to knee Nyx in the stomach and smash the hilt of Sin into his face at the same time.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Instinctively, Nyx blocks the bottom of Sin's handle with one hand, but can't juggle both attacks. Gale's knee strikes him square in the gut, and he hunches over and gags.
Still hungry for destruction, the demon in the background turns to face Nyx and Gale's turned back. It begins to slowly draw in another deep breath, and the piercing ball of light starts to form in it's mouth again. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale grapples with Nyx and slowly tries to overpower him and send him to the ground. "You were a fool to come here!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
With a great deal of effort, Nyx locks with Gale's hands and manages to remain standing as they grapple and are spun around so Nyx's back is now to the giant demon behind them. It seems likely he'll fall under Gale's force at any moment.
"Fury Two's only purpose in this world is to destroy you. He was never necessarily meant to succeed." Nyx's legs give out and he falls onto one knee, still finger locked in a tug-of-war with Gale. Just as he musters the strength to try and stand again, a blinding white light pours in from behind him and bleaches out the entire scene. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
While it seemed that Nyx took the blunt of the blast, Gale did not remain unharmed. He is thrown back at least five meters by the explosion, and smashes into a tree which snaps on contact.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The stranger doesn't squint from the light of the blast, instead he stares directly into it, and glances in Gale's general direction. A hearty laugh bursts from his middle and he sinks deeper into his relaxed position as he glances at Nyx.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The cloud appears again, Roselenna materilizing inside. She drops neatly to her feet and looks around for Gale. Spying him and fearing getting in trouble for her unexpected departure, she hesistates.
((EDIT: BREATHE, thread, BREATHE!)) |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
As the light fades, the giant demon comes into view, its gaping mouth held wide open and smoldering from the blast it had unleashed. In it's haste, however, it had cut down Nyx as well, who had turned in such a manner that he literally shielded Gale from the explosion. He now lies face-down and motionless several feet in front of Gale, his back charred and oozing smoke that smelled of burned fabric and flesh.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale rises slowly and realizes that Nyx had saved him from what could of been death, Gale snickers slightly and notices the demon. No longer is he capable of fighting it, he could only last a few minutes longer. He fires a blast of energy at it's mouth, hoping it will connect before the beast closes it.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
((geez, Fury, thanks for gracing us with your post. :P))
Rose's shining eyes watch Nyx. Her hand tightens on Fate, cheering Gale on to kill him. She then, slowly, switches her gaze to the giant demon. Chewing on her lip, she debates what to do next. "Gale! What do you want me to do?" |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
((What? Oh, yeah... Ehem...))
Gale's last ditch succeeds, and the blast shoots into the creature's mouth, plowing a path down the side of its throat and dissipating in the stomach with a small explosion. This causes the stomach to burst and nearby organs to tear apart, sending a mass of gore back up the demon's throat and pouring out its mouth as it falls over like a downed tree. No longer supporting much of anything with oxygen, the lungs deflate with a woosh and the carcass sags lifelessly. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale smiles triumphantly and turns to Nyx. "You lose, again." Gale walks past Nyx without a second thought.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The boy laughs heartily at the carnage, then strides over to it, bending over to examine the bloody carcass that remains. He cocks his shotgun and fires, not at anybody in particular, but just for the sheer sound of the rifle. His accent is thick.
"Ha! Not bad for a ruddy mortal." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale spins around and frowns, far from pleased. "More kids? Hmph."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The boy casually walks towards Gale, pressing the barrel of the rifle at his aorta. "Not just any kid, damn Abbis. You're gonna pay fer what you did to my sister."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale frowns. More than one person has shouted something similliar to him. "Go play in taffic." Gale watches, ready to dodge.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
There's an audible click as the boy cocks his shotgun. "No wonder you've got everybody an' their brother on your ass.. All you ever do is **** things up."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"And just so I know before I kick your head in, who the hell are you?"
